Chapter Four

The unknown number that calls Shura continues to call her but she declines. She doesn't want to pick the call in front of her parents and also wants to finish her meal before any calls.When Shura finishes eating she goes to her room and finally picks the call up, the voice she hears is a brittle female voice.

Good day Daughter of a poor Man( Gina is laughing in an evil way). I guess I'm speaking to Shura. I just want to warn you that if you value your job that helps your poor life, you should consider leaving Shun alone.

Excuse me! Says Shura in Shock, please who is this?she asked scared, who I'm I speaking with?.

I go by the name Gina Mark Cruze. A wealthy, classy and beautiful lady. As a matter of fact, I'm Shun's girlfriend and I would not like to share him with another woman, talkless of a low life like you.I own the most luxurious Saloon in this City and there is no way I would be competing with a commoner like you. So if you know what is best for you, leave him alone and look for somebody else.

Gosh! Gina exclaimed in amusement.

Don't you know your class and type of people anymore?The rich marry the rich while the poor marry the poor. Gina tries rubbing it in her face that she is poor and has no value, but Shura stands her ground and is not moved by Gina's words.

Well, Gina, I don't want to batter or exchange words with you, but all I have to say is you can't threaten me from my job because you are not my boss,Shun is!, so you have no right to make such a statement.

We both have boundaries, so stay in your lane, let me stay in mine. If you know I'm not your class, then you never call me again, because if you call to warn me you are already seeing me as your rival, a threat and a competitor.Gina stays mute and unexpectedly hangs up the call.

After the call, Shura hugs the pillow next to her very tight in order to ease her anger and her temper. She hugs it for so long that she finally falls asleep till dawn.

The following morning, Shura realizes that she is very late for work. Normally, she always gets up at 4:00A.M and goes to work by 7:30A.M, but this time around she wakes up at 6:00A.M and before she can prepare everything, and herself she goes to work by 9:A.M.

She arrives at approximately 9:00A.M at the Company and people question her why she came by that time. It was a surprise to everyone in the company because Shura is a lady that comes to the company even earlier than normal.But she tells them not to worry that everything is under control.

When she arrives at her office, she hurriedly goes to her work table and begins to do her work.

She suddenly gets a knock at the door. Who is there please?Shura asked.

Nobody answers as she doesn't get any response.She stands up and goes to open her office door to see the person who would knock and not respond when someone is asking.

Oh Sir, it's you! Shura says.

My Love, please don't call me Sir when we are just two of us, I would prefer something romantic. It's only when there are other people around before you can call me Sir and when we are at the company.

I'm sorry about that love, just that I was wondering who would knock at the door and not say who he is when asked.

I'm sorry about that. Shun apologizes.

Why are you here at this time Baby? It's already 9:30A.M and I noticed you came in at 9:00AM. Shun's office is opposite Shura's office, so he knows when Shura comes in or leaves.

There was this certain lady that called me last night and warned me about you. She said her name was Gina and that I should stay away from you. If not, my job would be at stake.Shun tightens his left fist as though he was ready to box someone and asks Shura more about what she just said.

My Love, I hope you didn't believe what Gina said.She said all that just to scare you. Gina cannot do anything, plus she is my ex-girlfriend and we have nothing going on between us anymore.

I believe you, Shun, just that her voice was very threatening and scary.

That shouldn't bother you, Shura, this is my company, not hers. I'm your boss, not hers, so she can't do anything to you. I'm the one who loves you here and I would try everything in my power to protect the one I love.Shura nods her head in appreciation and feels happy and relieved about knowing that someone always has her back.

Shura continues, saying: I promise not to believe what Gina says. I have realized that she said all that because she hates me and doesn't want us to be together. These wealthy ladies can go to the extreme of doing anything to the ones they hate and get what they want.I know they can make life very uncomfortable for the poor if it happens that their ex-lovers are in love with the poor. It is not based on my assumptions but a life story that happened. And the lady in question was also wealthy, but the other wealthy lady did everything in her power to frustrate and eliminate her. Then what of me who is poor? and depends only on God and his love for security.

Shun tells Shura to hold on because he wants to get something. He walks to his office and gets her a very beautiful dress. He confidently brings the dress to Shura and gives it to her.

This is for you My Love, please take it and wear it tomorrow Saturday for our dinner date.Shura takes her dress with excitement and spontaneously hugs Shun.She appreciates him and gives him a warm forehead kiss.Shura thereafter packages the gift well, this is because it was opened by Shun to show her what was in the gift box.She folds it well and keeps it in her leather bag.

Shun comes very close to Shura, hugs her, kisses her cheek,plays with her hair and pampers her to calm down and relieve her.

The long silence when they hug brings forth some emotions. Thereafter, their faces begin to come close, they look each other in the eye and slowly begin to join their lips together.

When they are almost at the point of kissing passionately, suddenly Gina goes into the office and they both are shocked that Gina enters in a very violent and unmannered way. They all stir in themselves and at that moment the atmosphere becomes tense,hot and uneasy.
