STELLA I tossed my bag into the passenger seat, leaning against the car for a moment as I let out a deep, tired breath. The night air was crisp, cool against my skin, carrying the faint scent of rain that hadn’t yet fallen. Behind me, the reception hall still glowed with golden light, the sounds of laughter and clinking glasses muffled by distance. It had been a long day—exhausting, but successful.
