JESSICA'S POV
The slam of my bedroom door was the only sound that felt good all day. I leaned against it, my whole body shaking with frustration so deep it felt like a physical ache. Expelled. I'm really expelled. The hollow dread from the dean's office was now a live wire under my skin, sparking and dangerous.
I didn't have to wait long. The door hadn't even stopped shaking when it was pushed open, forcing me to stumble forward. Sebastian, Dominic, and Julian filed into my room, their presence sucking all the air out of the space. They didn't look like my stepbrothers right then. They looked like judges.
Sebastian's voice was a low, controlled rumble, but his eyes were blazing. "Want to explain why we just got a very angry call from Dean Hale?"
I crossed my arms, hugging myself tight.
