What was happening?

His touch was radiating through her body. She was pressed against him. If it wasn’t for the fact he had pulled her close she would have been trampled but the service staff. They were flying out of the kitchen, suddenly the sprinklers had started and the fire alarm was ringing in her ears.

They were both drenched stood outside shivering, watching the firemen put out the fire.

She had almost wished he was going to kiss her but the fact he had done it to save her yet again was leaving a disappointment deep in her stomach that she couldn’t explain.

Just then a car pulled up and a woman of maybe 40 or something came running straight up to him and clung onto him crying “oh baby I am so glad you are ok!”

At that moment she noticed the ring on his finger.

Bloody hell trust me to fall for a married man, come on look at him. There is no way that this tall, strong, handsome man could ever be single. She knew her face was betraying what she was thinking.

Just then he pushed his wife of him and gave her a strange look, was it confusion or annoyance? He then introduced his wife Alison to Lana.

Lana held her hand out to say hi and Alison just looked at her hand like it was the cause of a deadly disease.

Lana retracted her hand and smiled instead. Alison then decided to start talking to Nathan like Lana wasn’t there. He definitely didn’t have good taste in women Lana thought.

“So Baby shall we get going there is no need to stand here with the employees. Your all wet and the last thing we need is for you to get ill” Alison flounced off when she had finished talking.

Lana was snapped into reality when she heard Employees, is he the new CEO that everyone was talking about? There is no way, he was so down to earth, nothing like how people were describing him.

As if Nathan was reading her mind he turned to Lana and put his hand on her arm “I am so sorry about her. It has been a pleasure to meet you Lana and please don’t believe the rumours. How are you getting home?”

“I a just about to order a taxi” she just got her phone out and ordered a taxi and with a bleep it was confirmed.

“Well have a safe ride home, I hope to meet you again perhaps without a fire.”  He left with a wink.

As he reached the car door she thought she saw his shoulders slump and head hang down just as he opened the door she could almost make out what Alison had said “Do you need to introduce me to every piece of trash?”

She definitely heard what Nathan said back “f**k off Alison I’m fed up of your entitled attitude”

Just as they drove off Lanas taxi arrived. She was so glad that she was going to get home and get changed into some dry clothing.

She needed to get some sleep but she knew she would be thinking of him all night and all the things she would want to do to him and with him.
