"I love you too, baby, miss you lots." Well, there goes my snuggling up with Carlos. Before I hang up, I hear a girl giggling and Carlos telling her to shush. That's odd, I expected him to be alone or at least be with guys. Who was he with? I thought he's at some werewolf meeting? What am I thinking? There are girl werewolves; he's probably in a meeting. I wish he could spend this time with me. I miss him already too.
"Are you ready to go home?" Devon asks, holding my back and snapping me from my thoughts.
"Yeah," I say softly, a little sadly.
"What's wrong?" Devon worries, studying me with concern.
"I just wish Carlos was here."
"He'll be here tonight." Did Carlos tell Devon where he went and not me? I thought he'd more than likely tell me first. "Come on, sis, let's get you home." D
