Archer stared at the row of gleaming white pods, his heart sinking deeper with each passing second. He had promised Gideon he would save Avery, but his enquiry about her location had only led him to a W.H.I.P. pod, which was not a good sign. He placed a hand on the pod, a gentle vibration emanated from deep within. “I’m sorry kid, I promised Gideon I’d get you out of here, but I didn’t expect this… Damnit.
