My first day of work began rather uneventfully. Cayden Colbert had commandeered every free person to work on a new case that was being handed to the firm, at least in the beginning stages of it. The case was supposed to be a class action lawsuit against some company. Big news.
I was met at the front by Adele from Human Resources who showed me around and introduced whoever she could find, which included the janitor and the cleaning lady. She then showed me to my cubicle, which was a large office shared by the five research assistants, but I had it to myself for the day since they were all with Cayden.
Adele left me alone soon after showing me to my place and promised to check in on me the next day. I set up in the only empty cubicle and began to work.
