“What kind of pizza do you like?" Cayden asked, picking up his phone. “I normally order from Lightwood Pies, they have the best Margherita in town. But the deep dish Manhattan they make is pretty good, too."
Every moment I was just more and more surprised by him. I knew the place he was speaking about. It was on the lower end of the city, not someplace I would expect to even ping on the radar of Cayden Colbert.
“Uh, yeah," I stuttered, unsure of what to say. “I've tried that place, they're really good."
Cayden leveled me with a look.
“Because you're new in the city and new at the company," Cayden said, tapping his phone. “I'm going to let that slide. But just this one time. Lightwood Pies is the best place in the city. Remember that."
