Rose POV
“What?" I asked, placing my hands on my hips as Jeremy strode into the research assistants' office.
“Cayden Colbert wants all the information that you have so far," he said again. “He says the project is completed and you can take work from other lawyers again."
That was a lie.
“Don't touch my things," I told him. “I will speak to him myself first."
“Listen," Jeremy said again. “Don't go to Cayden. Go to Human Resources first. Just trust me."
I gave Jeremy a once over, my eyes narrowed. I wasn't sure if I could trust him. So many strange things had started happening to me since I began working on the project with Cayden, but I wasn't about to let go of it without a fight.
A part of it had to do with the project itself. I didn't want to lose the work that I had been doing.
