“We're going dress shopping," Cayden Colbert told me.
It was very early on Friday morning, and I struggled to even process what was happening. All I knew was that I had no idea why he was here.
Cayden looked me over, going from head to toe and back again slowly.
“But you can't go like that," he said, shaking his head. “The store we're going to has a dress code for entering."
I raised my eyebrow a little.
“Come inside," I told him, stepping aside to let him in. “Is this dress on the company card as well?" I asked.
Cayden shrugged as he crossed over the threshold.
“I need a partner for the event, and it will be good for our company image if I'm seen taking a new employee under my wing, so to speak," he said.
