This was turning out to be an insane twenty-four hours. I had spoken to Amelia Heart not even a full day ago yet. And now I was in the middle of lunch with Cayden and the most important people at his firm, along with the most important people at Orion Law.
I couldn't even begin to fathom how this had happened.
“Ma'am," the waiter at my side called my attention. “Will you be having the seared steak or salmon?"
I blinked. How was this real?
“Uhm," I answered, unable to articulate clearly. “The salmon, please."
