Rose POV
We were late to work.
There was no way to avoid it. But we made sure to walk into the office separately at least, though I doubt it was enough to prevent anyone who was watching closely to have their suspicions. We both arrived late, and we both worked late together. We would need to be more careful in the future.
Once we were inside, I went straight to my cubicle in the research assistant's office. And once there, I began working.
Cayden and I would be staying late tonight again, but that was most likely going to be the only chance that I would get to see him.
There was no doubt in my mind that there were very much still people at the firm watching me. And I would make sure that there would be nothing for them to see, which meant that I would be more than keeping my distance
