Chapter - Fourteen

We ate off the leftover veggies. Few prices were still there which we had to gulp down. Then we took it to the window. It was the same window where miles had been standing. Paxton threw it and suddenly there was a silent vibration. We turned around to see that the wall was opening . Without a moment of hesitation we all ran towards it and waited it to open completely. There was a door behind it. I pushed open the door and entered inside.

Once all of us were in we let of a sigh of relief. Suddenly the fort shut close with a loud bang , as if wind had pulled it fast. I must admit this host has a great knowledge about physics or technology. He has used levers, sensor opening walls and doors.

We sat down on the floor and for the first time there was a bedspread. “Now, time to start thinking and give our brains some riddle work to do” Paxton exclaimed. “Are you trying to get your mind out of all the incidents happening?” I whispered to him and he nodded. I knew it. “Ok” miles replied and he read the riddle out aloud.

They are either two halves which should have been one or two different fulls.

It is the one who loves you the most of everything.

“Like you and unlike you. What could be both like and unlike us.” Paxton asked. “ No, it’s not both like and unlike us. Look at the second line. Not all of us have it. Only a few Lucky ones do. So we have to think in a general perspective and find the lucky ones” Zara said. “Smarty” miles said and she smacked the back of his head. “Ouch” . We had a good laugh. She is opening up .

“Either two halves of one or two different fulls? What could that be?” I asked , mostly thought out aloud. “It feels like an apple.” Paxton said. “Who or what loves the lucky one the most? I guess that is a easier question in the riddle?” she asked and we nodded. Who loves me the most? My parents? No. There is another person who loved me the most. Julian. I suddenly felt sad remembering him. I wanted him to be by my side.

All of sudden everything became clear to me. It was like Julian showed me the way. “Did you get the answer. You give that look when you are combining all the information and gathering the answer.” Paxton asked me and I nodded. “ I think I do” I said.

“Twin. He is both like and unlike the twin. Everyone don’t have a twin , only few Lucky people have twins. At least the host considers them lucky. Have any one you had biology in school?” I asked and Zara nodded a yes. “Are you trying to say that two halves of the one are identical twins and two different fulls are fraternal twins?” she asked and I gave her a big smile and nodded. “Ohh” both Paxton and miles exclaimed.

“Finally, when you have a twin, they are the ones who love you the most of everything. Not even your parents , it’s them” miles said and we agreed. As usual Paxton went up to the keypad and typed it.

-screeching sound-

I was happy to hear it. Even though I know it’s dangerous for my hearing I have to started to love that sound.

“How do you know so much about twins? Like I could never guess that” Paxton said. “I had a twin” both me and miles said that together and exchanged shocked looks. I didn’t bother to look at Zara's or Paxton’s reactions. I don’t know why but the sudden urge came upon me. “And we were seperated when we were young.” Again we both said it together.

“Woah” Paxton exclaimed. Another urge. I had to clear this right now. “Julian?” I asked and he smiled and had tears in his eyes. “Yes Mili, it’s me julian” he said and we both ran into a hug. He held me tightly and I didn’t want to leave him .

“What? You both are twins?” Zara asked and we nodded. It felt good. I felt like I finally found my home. My long lost home.

“Wait, did you just say Mili and Julian?” Paxton asked and we broke out hug and nodded. He gave a gasp . “ Do you realise something? Or recognise maybe?” he asked and I couldn’t figure it out. I nodded a no. “Don’t you remember? All four of us, in London. We were friends . At the age of maybe three or four.” He said and that’s when I remembered us. I remembered us.

We all hugged into a group hug and grinned.
