Chapter 4
Eliza sighed as she pulled her shoes off and shut the door. She had gone out to buy the splint for his legs, and she had so many people from the neighbor greeting her and asking how her trip was.
“Is it so hard to see someone and ignore them? Is it a must to converse with the person?” She muttered, placing the groceries on the table.
She had also gone to buy little things for the house before she goes to the main market on Saturday. Coming back on Wednesday was the best decision she could have ever made as her organization gave her the Thursday and weekend off to resume on Monday.
Taking thing out of the bag, she put the splint separated and store the groceries into their rightful place.
Heading to his room she sat beside him on the bed and began opening the package. She occasionally glazed at him, hoping he would open his eyes and leave her, but the same result she for her friend’s unanswered question was the same answer she got from him.
Silence.
Moving to his legs she carefully slipped the splint on to the fractured leg, and sat back down beside him.
Staring to him, she noticed how color was already coming back to his face.
“Strange? But okay. Whatever takes you out of my house, I am good with it.” She said. Placing her hand on his forehead and neck, she noticed he was having high temperature.
She quickly went to get cold water and a washcloth as she dutifully began cleaning his forehead.

Two days later.
“Wake up! Wake up human!! We are in an unknown place— and an enticing smell.”
Kael weakly opened his eyes from the call of his wolf — Gith—
“What is it Gith?” Kael groaned, as pain shot through his body once he tried to move his body.
“I feel stuck what is going on?”
“That is beside the point. Looking around you. It is strange, we are in an unfamiliar place look around!!” Gith warned.
But though his words sounded like something to be weary about. Kael felt his wolf relax.
“So should I be worried or should relax like you are doing right now?” Kael asked.
Gith shook his head as he laid belly flat.
“You are too comfortable Gith” Kael said, trying to stand up, but his body felt tight and tied up together.
Looking at his legs he frowned deeply as he saw the splint on his leg. Yanking the drip from his wrist, he reached for his legs and pulled the splint out of it.
Instant relief washed over his body as he flexed it to ease his pain. Touching his chest, he noticed the bandage wrapped around him.
Remembering what happened to him, he gritted his teeth and stumbled up to his feet.
“I need to leave, Verak might do something crazy.”
“But I am comfortable.” Gith said, not moving from his spot and Kael wasn’t happy about it.
“Get up. The pack members might be in trouble. I know I caused as much damage to Varek as he did to me. But I don’t know how long it would take him to heal we have to leave this very minute.
But his wolf didn’t move.
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!” Kael yelled, insultingly.
“I should be asking you that instead. I told you the scent around is sweet and intoxicating, but you still don’t know what that means.”
Kael placed his hands on his chest as he pulled himself up. Walking to the mirror he stared at his form. ‘The cut inflicted from Varek was bad, and it slowed down my healing powers. But this healing speed is weird and surprising too.’ He thought.
Gith purred as he felt more relaxed than ever. Wanting tot felling take in the scent his wolf had talking about. And immediately he did so, his body shuddered with pleasure as he lifted his hands to his nose trying to block it out.
He placed his hands on the wall, trying to steady himself, as he felt like he was closing getting intoxicated with it.
“This—” He said slowly, his green eyes tinted into a golden shade and his iris turned into owl like form. Once Kael had acknowledged the smell, it immediately felt like they were connected as they both had the same thoughts.
“Mine. My mate.”
Gith’s ears perked up as he turned towards the direction of the door.
“My she-wolf is back.” He informed.

Eliza sighed as she stepped out of her car. The back seat and the boot were filled with grocery bags, paper bags and clothes. She had figured in the mist of her shopping that she would have to change her male guest’s clothes to a more befitting one.
But not know the size, she opted for a generic clothing. Sweatpants. And the baggy ones or the one she believed would be big for his size.
She stretched, flexing her limbs, as she had moved from stores to stores.
“Lizzy!!” Eliza heard someone call for her.
Eliza sighed rubbing her temple, ‘I am too tired to deal with this. All I wish today is head inside cook my lunch and sleep till tomorrow.’
But alas, the universe was against her as she played a sickenly fake, sweet smile on her face and turned to Carol who was heading towards her with her husband behind her.
Eliza noticed the Tupperware in Carol hands and her heart immediately bloomed. ‘I wouldn’t have to cook!!’
“Here, I made this for you as a “Thank You” gift.” She said, handing the dish to her.
“Welcome back, Eliza” Pedro greeted from behind her as he stretched his hands out for her to shake.
Locking hands with him, she nodded and smiled, “Thank you, Pedro.”
Letting go, e placed his hands on his wife’s shoulders, “Thank you for the gifts.”
“You are welcome.” Collecting the Tupperware from Carol, she nodded towards her vehicle.
“I have to get going. Just came back from shopping so, I have lots of things to do.”
Looking behind Eliza, she finally noticed the goods. She clapped her hands and nodded. “Of course, I would leave you to it”
Watching them leave, Eliza looked down at the Tupperware and decided to dropping it inside first.
Pushing the door opening, Eliza closed it with her legs. And at the same time, Kael emerged from the room.
They stood there staring at each other.
“You are awake?!”
