It was Monday Morning and time for Eliza to return back to work. She dressed up in an elegant red gown, black three inches high heel, a black handbag , a black eye lens and brownish coloured human hair. She walked majestically out of her room and was going towards her car packed in the compound when Kael came out. "Hey, Eliza! You didn't care to say hi before leaving for work" he said as Eliza stood not looking back. " Look, I understand that what happened was never the plan, but I'm sorry. Just as she was about to move, Carol came out of her house "Lizzy, good morning " Eliza, always being bored around such gossip like her just waved and entered the car, then zoomed off. Kael being a reserved Billionaire who doesn't talk much left for his room. "Wait, when did Lizzy start bringing men to her house? Hmmm..." Carol said and went inside. Kael is still in awe of how his feeling came about towards Eliza " she's beautiful tho, smart, kind and intelligent but this is not the first time I'm meeting ladies like her. I have met even better ladies than her, why is she different? Why do I have such strong feelings for her? Why am I head over heels in love with her? I just met her. Mehnnn, I f****d up. Eliza got to work for the very first time after a long vacation looking so emotionally devastated. After receiving warm greetings from her colleagues at work and exchanging pleasantries with everyone of them because obviously they have missed her presence at work for a very long time_ a period of one year is such a long time at work without the workaholic and passionate Botanist Eliza. Putting on a fake smile on her face, Eliza never wanted anyone to know about her mood to avoid being queried by anyone, not even her Boss. Afterwards, she got to her office, locked up herself and returned back to her sad and self pity mood.

Few days later... Eliza was gradually recovering from what happened a few days ago. She gradually started talking to Kael again but this time around in a very short conversation she would be off to her room. One fateful afternoon, Kael approached her again more gently and quietly as she was coming out of the kitchen "Eliza, you know we can't continue like this, eeh. What happened was unplanned, can you just give me a chance to prove that I'm really sorry. " He said trying to block her way " can you just leave my way and let me pass" Eliza replied forcing her way through but Kael held her by the hand. "I love you Eliza, I love you. " He said and Eliza stopped, looking at him straight in the eye "Look" said Kael " i might have come into your life at the wrong time but believe me, i cherish the fact that you took me in even without knowing who i am, yes, you might have heard about me before now but you don't know me and yet you took me in to your house and took care of my scars. Just give me a chance, give me a chance to

prove to you that i love you, Eliza. " " I... I..I love you too but the thing is I'm scared, I'm scared of what a rich Billionaire like you can do to a poor lady like me, I'm scared that you're just going to be used and dumb..." Kael interrupted her "No, you don't have to be scared. No sensible human would take such a lady like you for granted. If I do such, the universe would never be happy with me, look at me..." Taking her hands and rubbing her palms "I promise to love you, i promise to stay by your side but promise me one thing that you would never leave me" he said this knowing fully well that a time will come when his identity as the Alpha of Shadowfang Pack in the werewolf world which is his secret will be made known to Eliza. "I love you too but I don't think I can do this, no no no..." Shaking her head in disagreement "I can't" just then she forcefully found

her way into her room locking herself. "Aaah" Kael lamented "Eliza! I will wait, I will wait for as long as it would take you to say yes to me, I'm not giving up on you! " He screamed at Eliza's hearing.

There was a heavy knock on the "who the hell is this? Why would someone be knocking at someone's door like that? I just hope it is not this mother of four that has refused to mind her freaking business." She said heading to get the door. "Hi Lizzy," Carol said, putting up a sarcastic smile. " Hi Carol, how may I help you." Eliza replied with a frown. "Is there anything you're not telling me? Who's that young man in your house? Have you found love? But you supposed to gist me" Carol whispered. "And what's your business with whom i bring to my house, please if you have nothing to say you can get going, i was busy when you knocked" just then she banged the door behind Carol. "Aah aah, Lizzy! It has not gotten to this ooo!"

Right inside Kael's room "Do you really love her that much? " said Gith, Kael's Wolf. "She's just being too stubborn, I love her as my pull mate." The Gith walked towards him "you need to be calm and enjoy this environment."

"Where has Lyric been? Why is she not picking up for a very long time and she's not returning my calls." She sluggishly picked up her phone and dialed Lyric's number again. The calls were to no avail as she didn't pick up. Lyric has been her childhood friend and the only one she can comfortably relate with. Her absence made bearing the situation at hand worse for her. Just maybe, if Lyric were to be there she would have been a source of comfort and given her a shoulder to lean on in her time of regrets.
