The dim sunlight filtered through the blinds at the end of the CT Operations Department corridor, casting soft yet hopeless patches of light onto Bruce. He stood at the entrance to the conference room, his expression calm, and raised his hand to signal to the man waiting at the door: “Bruce, B6 Forensic Examiner.” The man was a short white man in his early thirties, not particularly handsome, but his dark eyes betrayed a calmness forged through hardship.
