The past few days have been hell.
I'd barely slept, barely eaten, spending every waking moment agonizing over the same impossible questions: Should I tell Jason the truth? Would knowing make it better or worse? How could I possibly compensate him for what I'd done?
Every scenario I played out ended badly.
I spent nights staring at my phone, typing messages I never sent. I even tried reaching out to his friends. Sent careful, casual messages to Noah and Jensen asking how Jason was doing.
None of them responded.
The silence was damning. Either Jason had told them what happened, and they wanted nothing to do with me, or they'd seen the video and drawn their own conclusions about what kind of person I was.
