Beatrix'S POV
“What is your problem, Beatrix.” My boss yelled at me angrily, slamming the file I had submitted to her on the table before me. “This is the fifth time I'm asking you to correct this file and yet you're bringing this trash to me. Do you value your job?”
“I'm so sorry, miss.” I hurriedly took the file from the table and dismissed myself, heading back to my table.
Since I broke up with Kieran , everything about me has been affected deeply, including my work which I spent years trying to get to the top position. “I hate you, Kieran ,” I said through gritted teeth as I went back to work.
“What's up with you, Isa?” I heard my colleague's calm voice and I looked up to see her walking towards me with a couple of files in her hands. “You don't seem like yourself today.”
“I'm just a bit lost, thanks for your concern, Freya.” I shrugged her concern off politely and she nodded before placing the files with her before me.
“You probably should go through these when you're not stressed, Isa. They are important files and can affect the company if done wrongly.” Freya said with concern evident in her voice.
Making a costly mistake would cost me my entire career. “Thank you very much, Freya. I appreciate it.” I forced out a smile as she walked away.
If I wanted to get this burden off my mind, I had to get back at Kieran at every chance I got right now. I turned on my phone and the first thing I saw in the app I was last on was father.
Suddenly it dawned on me. Of course, the best way to get back at Kieran is to do the least thing he expects me to do. And the only way was through his father. A wicked grin spread across my face as I opened Kieran 's chat.
He had once told me he went to a nightclub to meet his father and his father visited there often. After that, he never spoke about it again but he gave me just enough information.

I stepped out of the taxi that had brought me with a confident smile on my face. A few people were standing outside the club and they all looked stunned as I stepped out of the taxi.
I dressed in my sexiest gown so I would get Kieran 's father's attention at all costs. I have seen his picture once and I knew I would be able to recognize him.
“I booked the VIP entrance,” I said to the man standing at the door, holding up my phone to show him my pass.
“Welcome miss, go in.”
I slowly walked into the clubhouse and the whole bar was packed. I headed straight to the VIP floor which had not too many people and I could already spot the man who looked exactly like my target.
Kieran was the younger version of him. I knew he would probably be in his forties or fifties. As I stared at him, he seemed to catch my gaze and it raked through my body as I walked towards him. I sat next to him and ordered a drink for myself.
“You've been checking me out since I got in, like what you see?” I asked, winking at him.
“Who wouldn't love the view?” He smirked, his gaze focusing on my lap. This wouldn't be very difficult for me anyway if he continues like this. “What's your name, sexy?”
“Beatrix,” I replied with my smile not fading before I took a sip from my drink.
“What a beautiful name.” He said, pushing the strands of my hair behind my ear. “Just like the beautiful lady. I'm Abel, quite old as you can see.”
“I have to say you still look seductively handsome.” I commended him teasingly which made him chuckle before asking for my hand.
“Would you love to dance with me?” He asked, kissing my hands gently, his gaze not leaving mine. I didn't know why I felt a slight flutter in my stomach. I hurriedly brushed it off.
I am here for my revenge and he is damn older than I am. “Depends on how much pleasure I can get from just dancing.” I breathed seductively. His chuckle came out compellingly as he pulled me off my seat.
“Why don't you find out.”
He pulled me to the dance floor and a sexy song started to play. It was just my lucky day.
“You're a good dancer.” He commended me as he pulled me closer to himself. His closeness stirred attraction in me and no matter how hard I tried to push it away and hide it with the face that this was all for revenge, I still couldn't deny the unspoken s****l attraction.
The tip of his fingers touched the exposed part of my stomach and I felt unexplainable sparks go through my body. I slowly rubbed myself against his already hard bulge and a groan escaped his lips as he grabbed my waist.
I haven't done this before but Kieran explained to me quite a few times what men wanted and how to please them. I never knew he was trying to hint at the fact that he wanted s*x before marriage. We just spoke about it casually and he took it against me as an offense.
“This is to punish you, Kieran ,” I said in my mind as I turned to face Abel. I locked eyes with him, wrapping my arms around his neck. His eyes blazed with intensity as I pressed myself harder against him.
“Beatrix…” My name came from his lips in a low groan as he buried his face in my neck, his hands around my waist, pulling me closer than I already was. My heart raced as his hot breath touched my skin. “Your scent is intoxicating to me. I want you so bad.”
“Then I don't mind you being in my bed tonight,” I whispered into his ear.
“Feisty, I see.” His voice came out huskily before lifting my chin and his lips crashed on mine in an intense kiss that sent shivers down my spine. I felt my knees go weak as his kiss intensified.
******
I woke up the following morning feeling sore all over. I knew it was all worth it and once Kieran found out I had a steamy night with his father instead of him, he would go crazy. The reason he left me for another woman, his father got it willingly.
Abel's arm was still wrapped around me as I tried to slip out of bed. It took me a few minutes before I was able to move away from his grip. I checked the time, knowing I should get back home to prepare for work.
I didn't even look back and just rushed out of the hotel room, taking a taxi back home. I dressed up for the day, heading straight to the office.
“Have you gone through the files I gave you, Isa?” Freya asked as I settled at my desk. “It's due this evening and we have to report to the boss about it.”
“I'll go through it now. Thanks for the reminder.” A bright smile appeared on my lips as I started to search through my organizer for the file.
“You look happier today than you did yesterday.” She said te
asingly. “Did you win a lottery?”
“Oh, I won something more than a lottery.”
