Lilium’s POV
With my legs almost touching my back, I ran through the woods in search of her. I wondered what direction she had gone. I kept running until I got to the spring. Seeing the spring, I realized just how dried my throat was. So I stopped for some fresh water.
“I am so exhausted from all of these. I never knew this was going to be some crazy chase.” I said aloud to myself.
I decided to have some rest here before continuing in my search. And I sat down close to the waters.
I contemplated between shifting to my wolf form to enable me catch up with her or not. But I decided against shifting because that would amount to cheating.
As I stooped to get some water, I noticed that the area was in complete desertion and I should be the only one here.
After drinking to my satisfaction, I brought out my phone to call her but I quickly decided against that. I don’t want to appear defeated, so I put the phone back into my pocket.
“I can see someone give up so easily on a little chase, Lilium”
I was startled to hear the voice speaking. I turned slowly and saw Brenda standing some few distance from me. And before she could realise it, I stood up to catch her.
She was quick to detect my move and immediately started running. I ran after her, and after a few meters, I caught up with her and we both started laughing.

Tricia’s POV
“Don’t go any where Andrea”. I called as I ran after her.
The name Andrea sounded odd to me. I knew she would never answer me when I use it but the sound of Hydrangea was completely alien to me.
“My baby please come back” I cried out.
I was almost going to fall with my heels but I was quick to regain my balance. As I was climbing the staircase, I stumbled again and this time, I immediately pulled off my shoes and ran up the staircase barefooted.
I was confused as I ran, wondering where she had entered. Not wanting to miss her, I searched through all the rooms as I ran.
Just as I was about climbing to the third floor, I met Betty. I grabbed her by her dress as I climbed the staircase.
“Did you see Andrea, where did she go to or isn’t she in this building?” I asked all at once.
Betty was struggling to maintain her balance as I dragged her up the staircase. Immediately she informed me that Andrea was inside her room, I released my grab. This was unexpected, she fell down through the staircase.
I stopped and looked at her, she was groaning in pains. From the look of things, she must be badly injured.
I suddenly remembered that Andrea room was in the second floor and that was the only room that I did not check. I ran down the staircase forgetting that Betty was lying wounded. I climbed on her and fell on her. For some seconds, I was lost and unable to move my body. I was just staring at Betty.
I suddenly remembered that I was searching for Andrea and I stood upon once again forgetting that I had been lying on Betty. As I was about to run, my feet hit Betty’s face and she lets out a loud groan. I stumbled and without looking back at Betty, I ran towards Andrea’s room.
On taking the third step, I ran into the person coming towards my direction. This time around, I was going to have a great fall but the person grabbed me.
“Mummy, do you intend to injure yourself too?” I heard a voice ask.
I wasn’t able to make out the voice. I tried to look at the face, but my eyes were turning as I felt nausea at first.
“Are you okay mummy?” the voice asked again.
She took me and placed on a couch.
Yes it was my angel, how could I even forget her voice.
“My baby girl, my own Hydrangea” I managed to say.
Hydrangea, the name sounds so perfect for her, it represents her very essence.
“Get her some water” she instructed one of the omegas that was with her.
After drinking, I felt relieved instantly. I smiled at my girl, happy that I could have her in my arms once again.
“What happened to Betty mummy?” she asked.
She was looking towards Betty who was still on the floor.
I had totally forgotten about Betty. As I refreshed myself on the event that led to her present state, I became sober.
“It was an accidental, numerous accidents” I said quietly.
“Quickly, the both of you, take her to the pack clinic immediately. She needs urgent medical attention”. Andrea said to the two omegas that were with her.
I watched as they carried poor little Betty up. She continuously groaned in pains. A werewolf would not have felt that much pain. I felt so bad myself, I totally forgot the breed I was dealing with at the moment, but what was a desperate mother supposed to do.
“Please you guys should take it easy with her, carry her carefully. She is in a lot of pains”. I instructed the omegas.
“We will do just that luna” they both responded.
They took her away and I could see the pains in Andrea’s eyes. Her love for Betty is immeasurable and she would do anything to keep ha from getting to her.
Andrea stood up and turned back towards her room.
“I can see you are better now mummy, I ran out as soon as I sensed the commotions between you and Betty. Hopefully, Betty will be better soon.” She said walking towards her room.
I quickly stood up and walked behind her.
“What is happening…”.
I hesitated to continue my speech, not sure what name I should call her.
“Hydrangea mummy, call me that”. She said.
“Of course Hydrangea, why do you want to leave us, why do you want to leave your poor lonely mother?"
I asked almost in tears as the thought of that shattered me to pieces.

Lilium’s POV
“See I caught up with you Brenda”
I laughed as I dragged her to come sit down with me.
“And that’s because I let you to” she said.
“Makes no difference. I would soon find you anyway” I said.
“Impossible Lilium, I gave you over ten minutes ahead. So unless I want you to, you wouldn’t” she bragged.
When we reached where I was sitting, we both sat down.
“I was almost going to shift to my wolf to find you, where exactly did you go to” I requested and she bursts out laughing.
After we were both done laughing, she said.
“Eddy finally broke up with Serene”
“Its just about time, it’s so obvious Eddy was never into her and it’s better late than never.” She said.
“Yeah, you are right. At first I had thought she deserves more from Eddy, but right now, I feel there was no need pushing it. Love comes naturally” I replied.
“Exactly my point Brenda. So how did she take it?” she asked.
“Hmn” I sighed and continued.
“believe me, it wasn’t easy trying to convince her to see reasons why putting a stop now is for the best. Consty actually spent the entire morning talking to her”
“Alpha Andrew discovered Andrea’s flower put store and he burnt down everything” Lilium said in the most sober mood.
This information came as a shock to me, I was with Andrea earlier today, how was she going to take this.
“This can’t be true Lilium, it mustn’t be true” I uttered in dismay.
“I never heard anything of such, o maybe that explains beta Paige’s mood earlier today and he didn’t even stay long before going back to the pack house”. I said almost to myself.
“So how about Andrea, why aren’t we with her right now, how is she taking the whole thing.?” I asked.
“She is far from fine Brenda, that’s why I suggested we meet here. Going to the pack house right now would not be the best idea”. She said.
“Okay, then I have to inform Consty at once, he should be able to console Andrea at the moment”. I said.
I reached out for my phone.
“No need for that dear, all we can do is to hope” She said.
I don’t know why, but I believed her and dropped my phone even when all I wanted to do was to be close to Andrea.
All of a sudden, Lilium became still and her eyes gazed at the sky. I called out her name, but she didn’t even act as if I was there. I wanted to touch her to get her attention, but immediately decided against that. I don’t know why, but I felt it’s better I just stay here and watch her to see how this was going to end. Today has already gotten bad enough, so how worst can it get. I thought within me.
Lilium remained still for exactly three minutes. Then she stood up and without looking at me, she said.
“I am wanted immediately Brenda, please go home till we meet again”
I watched her as she leaves, she walks like someone that is controlled by some supernatural force.
