TWELVE *SUBSTITUTE GET TOGETHER*

Brenda’s POV
I looked around the school cafeteria trying to find where my friends were seated. When I couldn’t see them, I decided they were not here yet, and wanted to go seat at any of the available seats.
Just then, I heard someone call my name. I turned towards the direction of the call, and saw that it was Consty.
I happily walked up to where he was seated.
“Hey Brenda, why are you alone, where is Andrea and Lilium?” he asked.
“I thought you guys were all here. Andrea left the class before me, so I was actually hoping she would be here.” I replied.
“But she isn’t here” he said.
“So what about Lilium, wasn’t she with you guys?” he requested.
“No she wasn’t Consty, she had an History class. Hopefully she would be here soon”. I told him.
Ever since we all became friends, we had always made it a tradition to have lunch together at the cafeteria.
“How has your day been going?” I asked him.
“Great” he replied
“and how was yours?” he asked.
“its been great” I responded.
Consty is more like a big brother to us, he is like the big brother I never had. I have two amazing younger brother way younger than I am. They are my only siblings.
Andrea and Lilium walked up to us, accompanied by Eddy. It is a surprise seeing Eddy with them, because even though we are in the same grade, he has his clique.
“Hi Eddy” I greeted.
“I met Eddy with Andrea in Art class, and Eddy offered to join us for lunch” Lilium explained in excitement.
“That’s sounds great” Consty exclaimed.
Looking at him, I can’t tell if he meant what he just said.
“Thanks bro. Hi Brenda” Eddy said and took a seat beside me.
“Hi Andrea” Consty greeted Andrea
“Hi Consty, you look really great today.” Andrea replied and sat beside him.
“Thanks Andrea”.
“So what are we eating today” Eddy asked looking at all of us.
We stared at him in shock.
“Yeah, I know you guys eat same food when you are together, so I wouldn’t want to be the odd one”. He defended
“Yeah, you are absolutely right. So since you are here today, why don’t you pick for us, we would like to try your recipe”. Andrea said smiling at him.
Of course she is the only one that could do that, over looking one’s excesses.
“Yeah brother, what do you have for us?”. Consty puts in.
“That’s a great choice you made there Andrea” Eddy said smiling at everyone.
“okay, why don’t we have some french fries together with some of those sweet little grilled fishes garnished with a pinch of well prepared pepper sauce” he nods at us for approval.
“Wow” Andrea exclaimed, “that would be delicious. I love how you took your time to correct describe that, I love good cooking.”
And that is the exact truth Andrea don’t joke with perfectly cooked and we’ll prepared meals. In fact she could trade a limb for that.
“And that’s exactly what we would all be having. That’s a fantastic choice Eddy, thanks”. I said, happy with his choice.
I looked at the faces of the others, and they all appeared to be okay with his choice. Obviously, a little Eddy here and there would be fun you know.
Jasper’s POV
I waited in the car, looking around for any sight of the kids. The Alpha had instructed that I come pick them from school today as he is going to be making use of Andrea’s driver, Lugard today. The Alpha prefers either I or Lugard driving Andrea.
Lilium, my little girl was the first I sighted as she runs meet me, then I saw Andrea also running to me.
I came down from the car to embrace my girls.
“How are my girls doing today?” I asked as I wrapped them in my embrace
“Fine daddy” Lilium was the first to respond.
“Fine uncle Jasper” Andrea said
“That’s good to know girls” I said.
Just then Brenda and Constantine showed up.
“Good afternoon gamma Jasper” they both greeted me.
“Hello Brenda and Constantine, I hope your day was great?”. I asked
“Sure gamma” they chorused.
“Then it’s time to hit the road.” I instructed.
It’s only a fifteen minutes drive from the school to the pack house, but those fifteen minutes meant so much to me. Been with the kids is one of my best moments, I love been a part of them. It reminds me so much of my younger days with me and my Tricia.
I had to drop each of the kids at their different homes before taking Andrea to the pack house.
“What of Eddy, isn’t he coming with us?” Constantine, who was sitting at the front of the car asked turning at the girls.
“He isn’t coming with us he said he is going with his guys”. Andrea answered
“Eddy?” I asked surprised because he has never gone home with us before.
“He was with us earlier today daddy, so we were hoping he might want to come home with us.” Lilium answered.
“We can go Uncle Jasper.” Andrea said.
With this I had to start the car.
On our drive home, I can’t help but listen to the discussion of the kids.
“Okay guys, we would be having a substitute get together, but this time more of a get away. In my garden.” Andrea announced.
“But this time, away of Eddy” Lilium chuckled.
“Away from Eddy and his take over theory” Andrea puts in.
Everyone laughed including myself. That was a perfect description of Eddy. He has the perfect plan for just anyone’s event.
“So what’s the plan?” Constantine requested.
“We would be having a cook out some kind of…”
“Cook out by who?” Constantine cuts in.
“By me of course” Andrea replied with eyes wide open.
“No Andrea, that will be too stressful. We can’t spend the entire day out in the garden. It’s best we bring our meal along” Constantine suggested.
Andrea thought about it for a second and replied “hmn, you are absolutely correct. We would do just that”
“Sure Andrea, that’s sounds better. But do you really plan on cooking, or you just wanted to come up with a great plan? You see Andrea, when you put in effort to come up with a great plan, also consider the great effort needed to achieve the plan” Brenda said.
“What!” Andrea hits her and they both got into one of their numerous little fights.
We all burst into laughter because of course Brenda was right.
