TWENTY FIVE *LETS HAVE A VACATION*

Jasper’s POV

“Jasper you can go into the rings, there is little possibility of you not coming out in one piece”.

These words from the Alpha was more like a little surprise to me, even though I had hoped he would pick some other warrior to wrestle with Andrea. I hesitated at this request, I don’t want to have Carly spend the whole night massaging my whole body with hot water.

“Come on Jasper, you are the only one available for this, and moreover Andrea is not going to rip you apart.” The Alpha persuaded.

I looked at Andrea as she was jogging, kicking and squatting in preparation for the wrestling.

Right from the age of thirteen, Andrea had always engaged in all the trainings with us. But ever since she turned fifteen, and none of the warriors could stand her in any of the trainings, she only joins us once in a while, maybe two to three times in a month.

One of our warriors nearly lost his life from training with Andrea after she turned fifteen and since then, I had been the only one that is always picked to engage her in any of the trainings.

The wounded warrior spent over four months in an orthopedic hospital. The wolf of the warrior was wrecked in that fight, so the wolf couldn’t heal him from within. When asked why he didn’t surrender before being badly injured, the warrior confessed that he couldn’t because he never wanted to admit that a girl had defeated him in a moot fight. He felt he not giving up was going to impress the Alpha.

What the Alpha does since then was that, whenever Andrea comes for training, he would start by assessing all the warriors in the training ground with an intention of picking someone that is fit to defend himself from Andrea. But no matter how he does his assessment, he always picked me. All those times I prayed it falls on someone else, however no matter how much I pray, it has always been me.

“Me?” I asked pointing to myself to confirm if he really chose me.

“Of course you Jasper, go on, the training is about to start” the Alpha said.

This has always been our regular lines every time Andrea comes for training. I looked at the Alpha again, hoping he is going to have a change of mind. But rather he said patting my back.

“You can do this Jasper, it’s only going to last for a minute or two.”

“Come on uncle Jasper”

Andrea calls out as she jumped into the ring.

I walked into the ring like a lamp about to be slaughtered. In this wrestling, my strategy would be dodging her until the fight stops.

Immediately I entered the ring, Andrea came for me. I ran away from her, towards the end of the ring. She laughed at me and signaled with her hands for me to move closer to her.

I ignored her signal and she runs towards me. I allowed her to get closer before I escaped through the left.

This my act of avoidance went on for a few minutes, before the Alpha blew the whistle for the fight to stop.

“Uncle Jasper, those were cool dodges” Andrea said.

She was laughing as she spoke.

“Prevention they say is better than cure my dear”. I said as I laughed too.

Beta Paige walks up to us in the ring.

“What was that all about Jasper, you made it appear like you were trying to avoid the venom from a snake.” He said also laughing.

“Of course that’s exactly what I was doing beta, I had to avoid her at all course. I still feel pains in a joint or two from the last training with Andrea.” I said.

“I think I would talk to my father to pick another warrior the next time”. Andrea said.

“Please do, I have long prayed to be replaced here.” I said.

“There is no way that is going to happen Jasper, I can’t afford losing any of my warriors, at least not in a moot training”.

The Alpha said as he approaches us.

“Just stop picking me Alpha, I have no extra life hidden somewhere.” I pleaded.

“Come on Jasper, but your Andrea needs some training”. The Alpha responded.

Hearing this from the Alpha, I had nothing to say. For my Andrea, I can take some blow or two, or maybe three.

“Yes uncle Jasper, you are doing all this for me, and I appreciate it, all of it.” Andrea said.

She came closer and planted a kiss on my cheek.

Alpha Andrew’s POV

“Jasper, a little blow here and there would do no harm”

I said to Jasper as he grumbled about being the only one that is picked to train with Andrea.

He looked at me, hesitated for a while before replying.

“You can say that to the warrior that spent months at the orthopedic after receiving a little blow, here and there”.

Andrea looked at him laughing, but he refused to look her direction. He had kept his gaze away from Andrea this whole time at the dining table. He only concentrated on the food on front of him.

“You see Paige, I think Jasper is not finding any of these funny anymore, please look into it and let’s see what alternative we can come up with for Andrea’s training”. I said.

Everyone at the table together with me burst into laughter, and of course apart from Jasper.

“Will do that Alpha, actually I have been thinking of that lately. I hope to come up with something soon.” Paige responded.

“Please act fast on it Paige, I wouldn’t want someone I love hurting someone I love, or someone I love been hurt by someone I love. Either ways, I will hold you responsible Paige”. The luna said.

Paige looked around the table in terror before replying.

“But this was all supposed to be about Jasper, it’s his ass we are kicking here, so how did it get to my turn?” Paige asked.

He was still looking at everyone at the dining table for answers.

In return, we all burst out laughing at his predicament.

As I walked passed the luna’s room, I could hear some sounds coming from it. Maybe Andrea was in the room with her. I decided to join them inside, since I don’t have any urgent matter to attend to at the moment.

“So just how much have I missed?” I asked as I sat on the bed.

“Absolutely nothing daddy, I am just coming in too”. Andrea replied

“I felt like spending some time with mummy” she added.

“Talking about spending time with ourselves, I was thinking we could have some nice time together as a family this weekend, you know, anywhere out side the pack house.” The luna puts in.

“Hmn… that’s not a bad idea, so where do you suggest” I asked.

“How about we go to some relaxation pack or resort, just somewhere natural”. Andrea suggested.

“For me, I would be suggesting a very nice restaurant in town. You know, relax over a nice serving.”

I quickly suggested, countering Andrea’s suggestion. Her idea of an outdoor fun does not sound pleasant to me at all.

“Okay, I would say some kind of a get away, just for the weekend. We could pick a country we want to go to, for the weekend. We could go with one of our private jet. So our outing can start right from inside the private jet. That way, we can have a nice view of nature from inside the jet, we can visit the best restaurant in the country we go to, and everyone is happy.”

The luna made her own suggestion.

“That is fantabulous” I and Andrea chorused.

“I will immediately contact my agent to make the necessary arrangements”. I said.
