Me, Private Equity Investor It was a humid Mumbai October morning.  After brushing my teeth, and trimming the bush in my personal garden, I was ready to start my day.   I went and sat in my non-air conditioned balcony.  I was in my usual morning pensive mood.  I was thinking about how best to deploy the surpluses generated from my business.  Business was booming- unfortunately, investment opportunities were not.  Even more difficult, finding a fund manager who believed that buying low and selling high was a desirable thing.  I toyed with the idea of picking my own stock portfolio - after all I was only taking the risk that I would back the wrong horse.  By giving my money to a fund manager, I would be taking the risk of backing a wrong jockey and a wrong horse.  Even my passing knowledge
