“Grenade!" Carlos's shout came half a second before the blast tore through the main door. Erin dove, shielding the hard drive. Ashton pulled her behind a fractured pillar as smoke engulfed the observatory. “They're coming through the south wall," Carlos coughed, blood trickling from his temple. Erin wiped ash from her eyes. “The back tunnel's caved in. That was our only escape route." Ashton checked his clip. “Then we carve another." She grabbed his wrist. “You're bleeding." He gritted his teeth. “We all are." --- Gunfire rained in again. Erin shouted, “I need time to secure the antiviral kits!" Carlos tossed her a satchel. “Already grabbed them.
