Black and White

Chapter 3:

An announcement during lunch at the cafeteria sent all the students buzzing and excited for tomorrow. It was because an acquaintance party will be held in the University's Gym.

Meanwhile, now in the room, Matthias and I are busy choosing which clothes to wear. According to them the attire should be casual and not formal.

"What will you be wearing?" I asked him while I, myself, was choosing from two shirts I held in front of me.

"I don't know yet." he responded laying face down on his bed. I sensed he was lazy.

I have plans this day and it included going home to fetch the remaining things I need to put in the room. I didn't want to bother my parents so I decided to do it on my own.

"I'm going home" I told my roommate who was still lying facedown on his bed. He replied by giving me a thumbs up, and yes, he was still lying face down.

I got to the shower to freshen up and changed my clothes. I didn't go for long-sleeved shirts because it was hot, instead I went for the usual t-shirts.

I was waiting for a cab infront of the university when a girl suddenly got clumsy and scattered everything in the path when she fell down. I went to her and helped gather the things.

"Thank you. I tripped, but am fine," She told me still smiling even though it was clear that she was embarrassed.

"That's fine, sh*t happens. I'm Carter by the way." I set my hand infront of her, she shook my hand and said, "I'm Vanessa"

She went on her way and I also did. I was about to lose hope when a cab appeared infront the gate after a lifetime of waiting. I told the Cab driver the address and sat at the back of the cab quietly waiting for us to arrive home.

My phone rang its notification, and it was a message from Cassey.

"Where you at?" She texted.

"I'm on my way home, got to grab some things before the party tomorrow." I texted back

"Okay, Text me when you get there."

"Yeah sure."

After about 45 minutes I reached home. I payed the cab driver his wage and he went on his way.

I rang the doorbell and immediately my mom came to the door.

"Hi ma!" I greeted while I wrapped her around my arms, "where's dad?", I asked.

"He's in the living room, watching TV," she added, "Are you going to take your lunch here?"

"Probably. I have to get a few things and go back to the University. There's a party tomorrow, wouldn't want to miss that." I told her while making my way to the stairs and into my room.

I took the good clothes that was left in my closet, took my lampshade, thinking I would need it. I also took the novels I bought when I was in Junior high. I took the sketching materials because I knew they would come in handy.

I lay down my bed and tried to reminisce the things that happened in this room.  Few still give me shivers, and most of it makes me laugh.

I still remember that day...

"Babe, are your parents around?" Hailey, my girlfriend from Junior high , texted me.

"No. They won't be returning until 2 days. They're on a Business trip." I told her.

"Who are you with then?" She continued interrogating me.

"No one. My cousin went home a few minutes ago."

"You mind if I crash in? My parents aren't home."

"Sure babe, that would be fine."

I agreed to it, thinking she was only joking around. But after about 20 minutes after the text, someone was ringing my doorbell downstairs.

I went to see who it was, and it was Hailey. I opened the door, and suddenly she went to me and kissed me. I returned the kiss but then pulled back, "Upstairs, in my room. Not here"

Both of us went upstairs, all the while getting clingy with each other. When we got there the most unusual thing happened. I won't say I didn't like it, but I just didn't expect it.

I was sitting on the bed, waiting for what will happen next. She stripped off her clothes, and I was beginning to feel sensation swirling throughout my body. She unfastened her bra, and I was aroused.

"Carter, I know you want it" She teased me while biting her pointer finger, giving me those stares that make me want to...

She then went to me, sat on my lap and hugged me in a way that her exposed breasts touched my chest. The heat of her body was enough to put my erection stable. She kissed me in the lip, and I returned the kiss. I took of my clothes, so that both of us would be half-naked.

"That's more like it babe" she whispered. She pushed me to the bed and it made me lie down, grinning at what she was going to do next. She was going lower and lower to my body, all the while kissing my chest, kissing everywhere. She then traced the V-line of my Apollo's Belt.

"You're confusing me." I told her as the sensation I feel all over my body intensifies.

She was pulling at the garter of my boxers, She grabbed it and just as she was about to pull it down;

"WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING?" My cousin, Ella was at my door.  Seeing Hailey's body and mine exposed.

"Oh sh*t!" Hailey exclaimed in a whisper. We f****d up and got caught.

"You better get your f*cking v****a out of here Hailey, or I am gonna call Mr. And Mrs. Patterson." Ella Vermont scowled.

She got her clothes stripped them on her back facing Ella, and like an elementary girl she walked facing downward. I put my boxers back on and was ready for some scolding.

"What I saw there was f*cking unbelievable Carter!" She scolded.

I was in the table with her with my head bowed down. "Sorry," I added, "please don't let Mom know. Please"

She was giving me that usual hard-as-rock sister figure and not accepting my pleas. I knelt down in front of her and said, "Please, am sorry"

"Okay fine. Carter, I know you're growing up, but your only 16, both of you are too young" she hit my head and went to the living room and watched TV. I was okay with the hit it was my fault, anyway...

That day was supposed to be my First ever s*x with someone. We were too excited we forgot to close and lock the doors. I got out of my room grabbed the box I put my things in and went to the living room. I placed the two boxes full of things in the floor and went to the kitchen to see what my mom was doing.

"What you cookin'?" I asked.

"Your Fathers favorite steak." She grinned.

I prepared the table and after a few moments we were eating. My two little sisters were at school when I was there. They are Jude and Jade. They are twins.

"Eat up." My mom said as she settles down after praying.

"How's your stay at the University?" My dad asked as he get food from the platter and puts it in his plate.

"It was okay." I replied while doing the same after him doing it. "I became friends with my roommate. His name is Matthias"

The remainder of the lunch was filled with laughter as we continue to chat, and talked about the old times. I bid them goodbye and just as I was about to go out of the front door my dad called me and said, "Go get your car, I already paid for the parking fee"

I went back to him and thanked him. This car was my first ever car, he gave  it to me when I graduated. It was a lot for a graduation gift, but He couldn't help it, he got a breakthrough with his business and decided to give me this.

I parked in the parking lot and got out of the car. I didn't waste time and after closing the car's door and locking it, I found myself walking in the stone pavements of the university while I was carrying 3 small boxes stacked above each other. I could barely see what was infront of me because the boxes were blocking the view, yet I was brisk-walking.

That was me being dumb, I guessed. I was walking past the streetlights of the way I was walking.

The sun was already starting to set and the streetlights were opening one by one like a light parade. I took occasional breaks because the boxes that were stacked above each other was making my muscles sore. I continued to walk but—

"Oh my Gosh, I am so sorry!" A familiar voice said as she knelt down beside me.

I was grabbing my head because some of my things hit my head when I fell down with a thud. She picked some of my things up and put them back in the box, good thing two of the boxes were taped. I helped her pick up my things.

"I'm so sorry, Carter. Deja Vu." She teased.

She helped me carry one box as a sign of peace offering. I didn't agree at first but then succumbed to the offer since I would like another hand, and of course to prevent another "falling-with-a-thud" incident.

Vanessa had Auburn colored hair and brown eyes to complement it. She had  perfectly aligned teeth, I noticed it as we were talking as we were on our way.

We we're infront of my dorm building when Matthias went to me and Vanessa. She got the Box from Vanessa and said, "I'll take it from here sweetie, thank you" he winked at the Vanessa and she gave her a smile back.

"Who's that Hot chick?" Matthias told me, his statement was a sarcasm and a real question, either way.

"Uhum" I mumbled.

"I' she your girl?" Matthias asked, as we were walking up the steps to the main entrance of the building.

"What? Me? Of course not" I laughed. I can't deny that she was really pretty but I already found someone prettier.

"Your loss..." He said as he went ahead of me, leaving me behind.

"Hey! Wait up!" I shouted, I brisk-walked again, taking the risk of falling down just like a while ago. I was just right in time and got into the elevator.

I placed the box in the floor for my hands to take rest. I checked my phone and saw that Cassey left me a message, I even missed a call from her.

Ting

The elevator door sounded and Matthias got out. I also got my things and went to our room.

I immediately lied on my bed and stared at the blank ceiling.  This day was quite tiring. I looked to my left and found Matthias' clothes scattered on his bed. He might've had trouble choosing what to wear for tommorow.

Which reminded me I had not chosen anything to wear for tommorow yet. But I worried about that less and worried more about the things in the box that remained unplaced in their places.

I was supposed to do it but then my eyelids were betraying me. I haven't slept all day. I felt my lids growing heavier. So I went to the bathroom and washed my face and then changed into my night clothes. I easily dozed off to sleep because I was really tired. When I left home I didn't go directly back to the University, I went to a Bookshop, To the mall, and to my friend's house. It was just to get a few things and chill out.

My lids fell heavier, so heavy that even my mind can't stop it from closing. The night then vanishes as I close my eyes, and a well rested sleep soon covered me and got in to my senses.

Morning came...

I saw faint glint of lights reanimating itself through my closed eyes, The lights were spectrums of different lights through my closed eyes.

"Wakeup, sleepyhead!" Matthias said poking my cheeks to get me to wake up. But I resisted and showed that I was annoyed, I turned to the other side.

He poked me in my side and because I was ticklish my body reacted like I a worm wriggling around, it caused me to fall on the floor with the blanket covering my head.

"It's early, what're you rushing for?" I said sounding more calm than annoyed.

"It's 10 o'clock!" Carter informed me.

It caused me to sit straight from the floor, my stomach was grumbling again.

"Better get ready, The party will start in a few hours" Matthias added.

I went to the bathroom to do what I usually do during the morning, when I got out Carter was sitting in his chair and he's writing something.

I opened the door and was already supposed to go out of the room and go to the cafeteria when Matthias called me,

"Where you goin'?" He asked

"I'mma go get breakfast." I answered

"Nah, I got one for you. Coz you slept like a baby, so I figured to just get your breakfast up here" Matt explained.

I was both dumbfounded and happy I get to have food. No one brought me food before, So I figured this would be my first.

"You really didn't have to bother." I cast him a smile and told him, and continued to go out, but stopped when he called me again.

"You know it's rude to put an effort of someone handsome like me to waste." He said now facing me from his chair and me in the doorway. He laughed at his own words.

I got back inside, closed the door and he gave me my breakfast. I said thank you and I ate in my side of the room.

I was quite excited for the party, it was the only thing in my mind.

"Tonight's going to be a long night." I thought to myself.
