Chapter 9 - Chronos's Carriage

995 Words
Kia was understandably shocked that Gero could tell that Divinus Plasma would be what laced the blade, and with one look at that!     Divinus Plasma is an extremely rare type of plasma, one that has a 0.83% chance of being created during normal nuclear fission, and even if it did, there would be a minuscule amount of it.     It didn’t help that nuclear fission was a practice that was nearing its end regarding its usefulness. However, if this was made to be known, who knows the effect it could cause globally.     The thing was, Divinus Plasma was very potent, as much as 4000 times more potent than normal plasma in the same quantity. Kia was only able to generate and use it as freely as he could, after painstaking trial and error, which in the end, bore fruit.     He could recreate the exact same conditions required to recreate it for use. Something that was thought impossible, but the energy toll was enormous!     Especially since, after years of effort, he was finally able to install the generator for it into the Armis, a groundbreaking achievement even though it was never made known!     Quite frankly, just allowing for the intentional creation of Divinus Plasma was enough to send the whole world into turmoil. Taking it a step forward and creating a portable sized generator that could fit into a human-shaped and human-sized battle suit needed no words as it was obvious how revolutionary.     There were so many applications for it, that it was virtually endless. If the world’s engineers and scientists learned that Kia single-handedly created such a method and used it in a suit for a blade, they would certainly vomit blood and beat him to death with a stick!     The plasma was so rare and the chance to see so small, that not just anyone could spot the difference outside of its usage, as it was known to be very similar in appearance to normal Plasma. This was why it was so surprising that Gero could recognise it when it had yet to be generated to be laced to the blade.     Actually, this was the reason why Gero was so surprised. Few things could catch him off guard, if it wasn’t enough that Kia created this, the man used it for a sword on an Armis.     “I have a good eye, let’s leave it at that. Now you got something good here, but that energy strain is a bit troublesome. However, my research could eliminate that little drawback in its entirety,” Gero stated confidently with a bit of a smug look on his face.     When Kia heard this, he was shocked to the point where his jaw dropped to the floor, “W-Wha-what did you just say? You have a way to sustain fission for a prolonged period, the kind required to create Divinus Plasma!?”     Of course, Kia was surprised. Even though he was aware that mankind is currently basking in the joy that is clean energy the world over, he knew that cold fusion couldn’t necessarily be used to produce and/or support the use of plasma, the product of hot fusion!     At most, with the current power source of the suit, it could only be used for very few precious seconds.     This was something that Kia was always trying to rectify but came up short. The energy needed for the nuclear fission that emulated the same condition was much more consuming than normal fission itself. Now Gero is saying he had a way to fix that, and in its entirety?     “That’s right” When Gero replied, he moved to a corner of the room where there sat a security case on a desk.     After many verification steps, he opened it to reveal stacks of research papers and an inconspicuous black box with a dull metallic sheen.     “My research had been mostly theoretical until last month, where it’s now been brought to life.” He then removed a few pages and the black box within and passed them to Kia.     “Wait a second, are these papers? Where did you get these? I thought the only ones left were in museums. Wow!” Kia was surprised once again. This must be a new record regarding the amount of time that he has been surprised in one day.     Gero had actual papers in the case. Of course, electronic devices took over the entirety of research documentation and records.     This was double the case in Cendo Academy, the proclaimed holy land of technological breakthroughs, and one of, if not, the leader of it thereof.     Yet here comes Gero, with papers of all things, Kia’s shocked countenance was expected; however, the content on the pages totally overpowered everything he thought could be real as opposed to could not,     When Kia skimmed through the two pages, his expression changed to one of complete awe.     His neck then creaked to the side where he held the small box in his hands that began to tremble uncontrollably. He then opened the little box that sat in the palm of his hands, which such care as if he was afraid that the slightest mistake would make it disappear.     When Gero saw this, he revealed a rare smile. After all, he was the exact same way upon its conception as well. This was something that could change the world and broaden its horizon.     When Kia opened the box, it revealed a pyramid-shaped object with numerous runes running along intersecting lines, there. There were depressions on key points of its body, as if something could be plugged in or something could be expelled.     They granted the small pyramid an ancient feel when it was nothing of the sort. In fact, this item could change their world, bringing it into a new age.     Who said that clean energy was the epitome of mankind’s achievements? What if there was someone that believed the impossible and sought to make it possible against all odds!?     “Good God man, y-you really found a-and made a-a way to harness and use C-Chronos’s carriage!?”     “Yes.”
