Chapter 34

Fraya It has been two days since I woke up from my coma, two days since I killed Charles. We buried our dead yesterday and had a feast, celebrating their lives, even those that stood against us. I watched as they burned Charles’s body, feeling no remorse for killing him. Seeing Sophia’s body burring next to his, reminding me that I did the right thing. We lost a few good men and even though some stood against us, they still had families, some were misguided and others stood with Charles out of fear. Regardless of their reasons, I have always believed, every life should be celebrated and not their death or the reason for it. Today we are sitting around the dinner table discussing our plan of attack. I look around the people sitting around the sable and feel pride as well as sadness. Pride
