The second I wake up, I know something is different with my body and it is not just the fact that I am now a mated female. At first I am so shocked that I don’t even realize that Alexander isn’t next to me in the bed. I place my hand over my stomach, knowing that I will protect the life growing within me. I am surprise that it happened so fast, werewolves might not struggle to have children, but I know that dragons do and then there is the fact that we are two different shifters, making it harder to have children. It is very rare that two different shifters mate, much less get children, but when they do, the child will take either the mother’s animal, or the father’s but never both.
