When I saw Caroline walking into the clearing, it was like I was frozen, my brain not being to process what my eyes were seeing. I could see her standing there, but I just couldn’t accept it. How is it even possible? It felt like time had stood still, like everything else just disappeared. I just couldn’t make sense of anything. I couldn’t hear Alexander, didn’t even realize he was touching me. It has been a hundred years, I have mourned her and I raged when I found out she was dead, or well thought that she was dead. More than a century has passed since I had seen her, and here she is, the dead come back to life.
