Day two and the mansion no longer felt as cold as it did on the first night Zara signed the contract.but yet it didn’t feel like home.
Zara stood my the window side enjoying the view, she had everything now a huge mansion, her family debt settled, her dads hospital bills paid, her baby brother back in school yet her heart felt oddly restless.
Then a soft knock echoed through the room. She gently replied ‘who is it?’ Then david came in the room felt tensed he was know to be a cold man always on a sharp suit, calm voice, and an unpredictable eyes but this was different,he looked exhausted.
‘You’re still up’ he said ‘so are you’ she replied coldly without turning her face.
Silence spread across the room it wasn’t hostile but fragile.
After some weeks of living together they have learned little things that matter like,
David works out when stressed while Zara hummed softly when nervous.
Little things that matters in a relationship.
The next morning Zara went to boil water, now she stood at the kitchen staring at the kettle like she forgot why she turned it on.
‘whats wrong’ David asks
‘Nothing’ she replies worriedly then her phone buzzed.
