I could not help staring at David as he said those words. He looked like he meant every single word he uttered from his daring mouth about Arthur. I did not know what to do or how to react to his words, nor did I know what to say in response. I just stared, my damned self!
Why is David being so concerned about me right now? Why are his words holding so much water and making me want to believe every single one of them? I would have loved to but the fact remained that they were best of friends and there was no way I could bear to see them at loggerheads or stop talking to each other because of me.
