I was escorted to the hotel parking lot, which fortunately was half-empty. I stood by my car as I calmly unlocked it, retrieving the change of clothes I had prepared the night before.
I put on the shirt and pants before grabbing my wallet.
"Here, as we agreed. A hundred dollars each," I said to the two security guards who had escorted me out of the hotel and accompanied me to the car. "Gentlemen, thank you for not using brute force on me."
"Regardless, we had to escort you out, Mr. Asker," one of them said, pocketing the tip, a bit embarrassed that I was paying him for doing his job.
