Damn. I've just witnessed the most intense legal battle of my life.
I left the meeting with Alana Lamperox by my side.
It had been a smart move to hire her as my lawyer after seeing who Penelope had hired. She was tough when it came to advocating for her client's interests, at least she had been with me, and I was grateful to have found her and that she had agreed to represent me.
We entered the elevator and as soon as the door closed, she stood in front of me with her arms akimbo.
"Can you tell me what that argument you had with Penelope was about?" she asked.
"It was a necessary argument. She was blaming me for many things when she also benefited from that marriage, because that company didn't come out of nowhere," I said.
