Tara's mom was disturbingly calm when she said, "I am being sued for something I did long ago or rather something I didn't do."
"What do you mean mom? What's happening?" Tara's heart thudded loudly in her chest as she waited for explanations. "I don't understand what you're saying."
"Work-related problems. You know how it is," her mom chuckled humorlessly.
"No, I don't know," was Tara's reply, "Do I look like a doctor to you?"
"Don't make this any harder than it is," she let out on a sigh.
"What did I do now?" Tara exclaimed, aghast.
She sighed. "You didn't do anything." She paused, averting her gaze, and then carried on, "I made a medical mistake. And the problem is I tried to hide it. I should have reported it. I should have come out and said sorry I should have performed the
