"Why would I listen to what any of you has to say?" Tara countered, hot tears trailing down both cheeks. She tried to free her hand, but to no avail. Antonio was holding her arm in a firm grip. "Nothing happened, carina," he said dispassionately for some reason. "Yet," she countered, her glare shifting to his face. "Release me," she told him angrily. He scoffed. "As if I would ever." The words should have made her stop and think, but she was unwilling to think. She was much too hurt, much too absorbed in her feelings of betrayal to listen to reason. Hell, was there a reason?
