Chapter 005: Rules

Chapter 005: Rules Sion looked at the old board carefully. The red writing on it seemed to be old, as could be seen from the amount of moss around the wooden board. Many questions arose in his mind. If people who entered this forest would never be able to get out of it again, then why was the survival show team holding the event here? Was this going to be a story like the thriller movies he watched, killing each other to be the winner, or was there another purpose behind it? Negative thoughts kept attacking Sion's head relentlessly. He shook his head to ward off the bad thoughts. Too focused on his own thoughts, Sion heard someone's voice. "Hey, are you okay?" Sion raised his head to the source of the voice. Finding Galen, who was looking at him with concern. "How did you fall? Are you feeling dizzy after the long journey?" Sion smiled slightly at that. He was a little touched that someone was worried about him. "Oh no. I just fell because I accidentally step on a small stone while stepping." Galen sighed. He still hadn't gotten rid of his worried expression. "Ah, you should be careful next time, Sion." Although half-nagging, he extended his hand to Sion. Sion welcomed it, then got up from his position and approached the other participants who seemed to have gathered in a circle. Ignoring the old board that had been occupying his mind. While in the circle, Sion did not say much. He chose to listen to the few people who argued about the absence of some of the crew or members of the show in this place. "Maybe they came late because of the traffic," said one of the tall women who worked as a model. Her name was Jessy. "If they were late, they should have informed us. Not make us panic like now," argued an actor named Cale. "So, what should we do now?" Maria, the actress who had a whiny nature, also spoke up. "I don't want to die in this place." "Why bring up the “D” word ?" Cale asked disapprovingly. His eyes glared at Maria. "We're only here for the survival show, not for real survival in the wild.". "Cale is right," Jessy agreed. "You can't bring that word in here, Maria. You're making us all panic and scared." "Sorry." Galen saw that Sion was once again focused on his world. He tapped Sion on the shoulder, making him flinch. Sion turned his head to the side. "Yes?" "Don't daydream or focus your thoughts too much in a place like this, Sion," Galen warned in a low voice. "Why?" "Your soul and mind will be easily manipulated by them." "Huh? What do you mean, Galen? Explain—“ Sion's words were cut short by the sound of footsteps in front of him. His body was transfixed by the sight of two women and one man coming toward them. "Good afternoon, everyone. We are the organizers and guards of this survival show," a man with burns on his face opened his voice, breaking the silence. He scratched the back of his neck, which did not itch. "Sorry for our tardiness." "Yeah, no problem," Cale replied on behalf of all the participants here. "To shorten the time, we'll introduce ourselves. I'm Quilla." The woman with amber eyes introduced herself. "I'm Luke," the man with burns on his face introduced himself briefly. "My name is Sunny!" The woman with pink twin tail hair introduced herself cheerfully. She had a childlike vibe, unlike the mature Quilla or the cold Luke. "I hope we can do well in this show. Please cooperate." Sion stared intently at the amber-eyed woman who introduced herself as Quilla. There was a strange feeling that rushed through his heart. He seemed to recognize the woman, even though the two had just met. His brain was thinking hard. Did he really know Quilla? Or was it just someone who looked similar? The more he remembered, the more Sion's head hurt. 'Sion, you're a good boy.' 'Even though you're an albino, we still love you, Sion,' 'Sion, run! Don't let them catch you. Secure the code!' Sion closed his eyes. His head was hurting more and more, like it was being stabbed by needles. Whose voice was that? Why did it keep playing in his head like a broken radio? 'Sion, don't ever die. Protect the secret of the code until I am strong enough to protect each other. I'm sorry.’ "Sion, wake up!" Sion returned to reality. He looked at Galen, who looked worried, then the other members, especially Cale, looked at him with a strange look. The corner of Sion's eye now turned to two of the survival show guards. They showed the same look, looking confused. While Quilla put on a flat face. "Sion, are you okay?" Galen gave Sion a worried look, then hugged the man tightly. Sion was surprised by the sudden hug. "Yes, I'm fine. What happened?" "You were screaming in pain just now," Luke walked over to Sion and touched his forehead, raking his hair up. For a moment, his eyes rounded at the sight of the elongated wound mark near his hair. However, he neutralized his expression quickly. "Are you sick?" Sion shook his head. "No, I'm not. I'm fine. Thank you for asking," Sion smiled in return. Luke nodded his head, then returned to Sunny and Quilla's side. Meanwhile, Sion was helped up by Galen. "Alright. I'm going to read you the rules while you're in this show. Please pay close attention," Quilla quickly changed the subject. "Rule number one. You will stay in this forest until the show is over. You are not allowed to use electronic equipment or contact the outside world," Quilla said. "Number two, everything you need, such as housing or food, you must find yourself in this forest, then..." "Why is that?" Maria interrupted Sunny with clenched fists. "Aren't all the facilities going to be provided by the survival show? Isn't this the same as the Survival Island show?" Sunny chuckled. "I didn't say that." "What? But...." "Rule number three. If you question the committee's decision, you will be eliminated at that time," Sunny continued. Maria immediately covered her mouth with an annoyed face. "Rule number four: every mission you do will get a grade. If your daily score is less than 80, then you will be eliminated," Luke said, looking at Sion, who looked pale. "Rule number five, if any of you try to escape from here, our "executioner" will deal out the punishment," Quilla smiled sweetly as the participants looked scared. "What punishment are you referring to, Miss Quilla?" Jessy raised her hand while adjusting her sagging glasses. Quilla glanced at the sexy model and smiled. More like a grin. "You want to know?" "Of course," she said with an obviously haughty tone. "Are you sure you'll keep your haughty attitude when I tell you the punishment of the executioners?" Quilla seemed to be playing with her words. "The punishments are so horrible that they traumatize people to death when they hear them, little bird." " What do you mean?"
