Leonard and Sahara had been lovers for years, they were love birds, but their relationship had its own complexities. Due to Leonard's unstable financial situation, Sahara wasn’t complaining. She believed everything was going to get better sooner as Leonard always assured her so many times of deals that never really clicked. He always made promises, painting pictures of how much he would take her round the world and spoil her with so many gifts.

This time his plan was to go to Miami after applying to be featured in one of the most anticipated movies online, so he believed he was going to get the role and the money would be a gateway to changing his life,exposing him to more opportunities out there.

His mum and sister never really liked Sahara, despite everything she did to prove it right, they always found something to complain about.

His sister Mata was involved with one of the notorious gangs in Italy,

always getting into trouble and using Sahara as a connection to get out

of trouble anything she got into one. Leonard woke up to the noise of

the shower in the bathroom. It was Saturday morning, so she didn’t have

to wake up so early for work.

He stood up, reached out to his phone, he frisked out a little, trying to

make sure Sahara didn’t notice his reaction towards his phone.

Hey babe you’re up already, she said, smiling, “go get a shower while I

make you breakfast”.

She dressed and headed for the kitchen to prepare breakfast, but

He said, picking a slice of toasted bread while he headed out.

Leonard headed straight to the hospital. He walked into the hospital

Smiling immediately, he saw his mum.

“Am so sorry I had a very busy day at work and then headed to the Miami embassy to receive our passports.” He said smiling, finally we are leaving. They all laughed happily at the good news.

The doctor came in and announced that they were all right, healthy and in good condition, which made them fit to be discharged.”

She smiled, handed them the card and left.

It was past twelve noon already and Leonard wasn’t back. Sahara decided to give him a call to find out if he was OK.

She called several times but he wasn’t picking up. She became a little worried. She dropped a voice note asking him to call her back when he got her message.

Leonard was becoming uncomfortable seeing her calls and messages her. He couldn’t pick up in front of his mum.

Immediately they got home, he responded to her messages and texted her to meet him up at the castle's.it is a five-star luxury VIP location.

She smiled and wiggled, picking up her phone to call her cousin Chloe.

Chloe was her best friend and cousin at the same time. They worked together for the LAPD. She was a more senior staff.

“Hey big cousin” she said excitedly, “guess what?”.

“What?!” she said, sounding a little confused. “I think Leonard wants to propose” she said, grinning widely.

“are you for real and how’d you know that?” she said, sounding this time more confused.

In order for her to get a clear picture of what Sahara had just told her, she immediately asked her to meet her up, at food joint, down town opposite the central Catholic church.

Sahara dressed up immediately and headed out to the location.

Chloe was all Sahara got, so she indeed did everything to make sure she protected her and never allowed her to fall into the wrong arms.

Sahara arrived at the location , Chloe was already waiting for.

She was so excited to see her after exchanging pleasantries she asked her to repeat what she told her over the phone.

Sahara, in her excitement, explained everything she said over the phone. her observations and also showed her the message he had sent earlier that made her assume he was about to propose.

Chloe smiled, trying not to be a joy killer advised her cousin not to be too sure or expectant. Maybe he was calling for something different.

After a long talk, Chloe started that they go for a little shopping in preparation for the date night.

Twas almost seven and Sahara was already dressed up by her cousin. her make up and dress was just so perfect like a new bride.

But Chloe didn’t feel to good about it. She felt something she couldn’t place was up.

Leonard was already parked outside Chloe's apartment to pick Sahara to the said location. She asked her to call her if she needed help at all.

But Sahara carried away in her excited moment didn’t see anything going wrong.

They arrived at the said location and every were was lightly crowded. she walked by Leonard right side as they entered the hall to the VIP lounge .

For a while they had a fun talk,about their relation for the past years and smiled at their memorable moments.

All of a sudden he paused, staring at his glass of wine.

Sahara watched him for a moment not knowing what to expect next.

“are you OK”? she asked a bit confused.

he breathed in heavily before speaking out.letting out fake smile:“the visas to Miami are out and we will be leaving in two days”.

Wow she exclaimed excitingly, letting out s deep smile.

“but not with you, am travelling with my wife and kid”.

Her eyes widened in disbelief as he stood up and left
