Chapter 10
I shower quickly, already feeling my body growing stiff. From the tough work out with Karrie at the training ground, the night spent on a bench, the traveling, to everything we did today. It feels great to just lie in a bed for a few minutes. And one that doesn't have springs that poke and prod me when I move. I don't remember falling asleep, but that happens when you are exhausted.
I wake up to Steele poking me with his boney ass finger. “Shove it,” I say, rolling him over and swatting him away.
