Chapter 36
We file out of the room, and Kathel takes off down the hall. “Kath, where are you going? We need to get moving.” I call.
He hits button after button on the wall as we pass until he finds an open room. Miessa, Dita, and I file in behind him, bewildered. “What is going on?” Dita asks when the door shuts behind us.
Kathel is pacing up and down the room, helmet tucked under his arm. “Nix, why would they send us to Nix? Nothing has been going on there.” He is muttering.
“Kathel?” Miessa asks, snapping her fingers in his direction. “Hello? Wanna fill us in?”
He whips around to face us. “Have any of you ever been to the Kuiper belt?” He asks, pulls at the shadow of a beard he didn’t shave this morning.
“I haven’t,” I say.
“I’ve been to Pluto, but not any of the moons,” Dita repl
