I woke up from the heavy wind on my face. My eyes were a little heavy but I worked them open.
My eyes were slightly open, everything still blurry as I not only felt a heavy wind on my face but saw blurs of wood where I sat in a moving vehicle.
I tried not to move my head as I looked away from the winded car window and towards my other side. A man was sitting in the driver's seat.
The man filled the car seat with perfectly carved muscle mass. He had jet-black hair which was kept short in a kind of messy style, he had a sharp jawline, with tanned skin.
Noticing movements from him I closed my barely opened eyes.
"Oh looky here who's awake," Came a deep voice riddled with mischief.
I still kept my eyes closed, continuing my charade of being asleep.
"Reggie, honey, I can hear your heavy breathing, I can smell your fear, pretending at this point is just embarrassing." He said, and my heart skipped a beat.
Smell my fear? Oh Regina, what have you gotten yourself into?
Knowing, pretending was useless, I snapped my eyes open watching as he turned towards me, allowing me a much clearer view of his face.
He was what you'd classify as…. Drop dead handsome. With jet-black hair, thick dark eyebrows, as well as the lightest shade of gray eyes I'd ever seen.
He also had a lip piercing which glinted from the sunlight, a small tattoo of an upside-down cross at the bottom of his left eye and a blatant one of half a moon at the side of his neck.
I shuffled to get away from him, my back hitting the car door. "Wh-Who are you?"
"My name is Zachary Van," He flashed me his pearly whites. "But you can go ahead and call Zeke."
"You kidnapped me!" I quickly exclaimed.
He shamelessly nodded. "Yeah…. Sorry 'bout that, in my defense, I was only following orders."
My chest was rising and falling from my heavy breathing. I turned to the door. "Stop the car! Let me out!"
"Ho-Honey don't do that…." I didn't pay attention to him. "Seriously stop hitting my car."
"Let me down!" I continued yelling.
"If you keep doing that, then I am gonna have to shut you up, cause all this yelling is annoying." He continued musing.
I continued banging at the car door, but not for long because he abruptly stopped the car, I nearly hit my head on the dashboard.
He got out of the car. I attempted to leap out of the car from his opened door but he moved so fast in opening my door, grabbing me by the waist and pulling me towards him.
I shrieked, turning in an abnormally painful way to scratch at him, but he remained unfazed as he threw me over his shoulder, walking towards his trunk.
I continued shrieking as he opened the boot and threw me in. My eyes widened as he shut the trunk closed before I had the chance to speak.
My breathing became heavier, realizing the current situation. "Let me out please!"
"You are a noisy little stubborn human. You take this attitude to Alpha Xeres, and you're dead before you even get a word out," I heard him say.
My heart chilled. Alpha Xeres? As in Xeres Ash?
"Wait— Wait… please don't leave me here… I'll be quiet, I'll be good, I promise." I squeaked out, knowing he was fully prepared to leave me in the trunk.
There was a moment of silence before sunlight hit my face again as the trunk was opened.
His light gray eyes analyzed me silently for a moment. Without that evident mischief in his eyes, I realized just how scary he actually looked.
I swallowed.
Silently, he grabbed me out of trunk with just an arm, as if I weighed nothing, and put me back in the front seat, and shut the door.
As he got into the driver's seat, he looked back at me. Silently I motioned towards the seatbelt and clipped it in.
He looked away from me, allowing a smirk on his face. "Now isn't this silence so much better? Corentin was right, humans really do act like pups."
Pups?!
The car moved faster than normal. I tried not to react to my fears.
We moved by an empty road, and lots of trees, before ending in a destination. My heart thumped whether from fear or shock as well as my mouth went dry.
It was like a massive town in the middle of nowhere. Nobody said anything as Zeke, Zachary, whatever, led me by holding onto my arm tightly.
I didn't know where he was leading me to, but everyone was still going about their business as if this was an everyday thing.
He led me to a massive building, like a mansion, the men by the gates opened it for him, and white one hand pushed the door open, not bothering to knock.
I spotted a few women in maid's outfits and a few men. He took me upstairs, once again opening the door without knocking.
My sight first landed on a female with red hair. She had an exotic kind of beauty, being slender, with vibrant green eyes, but in those green eyes lay a sinister kind of coldness.
It was terrifying.
"Tada! Look who captured Regina Madison in record time!" Zeke said enthusiastically with his eyes on the man seated behind a desk.
He was big, it should be noted I'd said the same about other men before but he was just built differently. He wasn't with hulking muscles or anything but there was just an air of dominance that swallowed him
Even while seated he had an attention-catching amount of height, while being built with a kind of enviously chiseled mass.
If I thought his body was attractive in that simple free V-neck shirt then I didn't know what words to use for the rest of him. He had this kind of lustrous blonde hair that gleamed a little under the hue of the chandeliers. The hair was tied into a small ponytail.
I ignored the litter of tattoos on his neck, to focus on his features.
I didn't know what of him I was eager to drink in but I knew my eyes met his own, and I could swear I felt a kind of teasing shock wander through my body. His eyes were veiled under his short blondish eyelashes were a set of cloudy white eyes that seemed capable of swallowing you whole if you stared too much at them. He had a scar from his thick eyebrows, sliding past his eyes down to his cheekbone.
I sucked in a breath of air like a woman starved of oxygen as I locked eyes with him. Cloudy eyes? It was the kind of eyes a blind person had, yet it felt like he was looking through my soul and it burned everywhere.
It was terrifying to look at but for some reason, I felt my core grow warm. I could feel my face had certainly grown red as I was embarrassed and appalled by my perverse reaction to this person.
What is happening to me?!
He brought up a ringed finger and made a come gesture to which Zeke pushed me towards him.
"It's a pleasure finally meeting you, Regina Madison," He finally said, his gravel voice matching his chilling and aloof presence.
