Howard’s POV
I was afraid that rashly going forward would provoke him, so I borrowed a megaphone from the police and shouted at the work from a distance like a true boss. Vera was just a doctor, lacking the courage and qualifications to make any decisions on behalf of the company. If I didn't give a response, the situation would only reach a stalemate very soon, and the result could be dreadful.
She heard my voice behind her and inexplicably felt relieved, letting out a sigh of relief.
"I'm sure you heard. As long as you come down, we can still talk. If you jump like this, it really isn't worth it. Think about your family, for once they can compromise with limited money but not without you." I slowly approached the man and patted his shoulder, pushing him gently.
