The sun had gone down, leaving a shade of reddish light in the sky, while Greta was still busy trying to explain to the old woman, that it was not at all true that she was dead. She lied to the old woman by saying that her grandmother had probably given too much credit to bad news, and as she said those words she thought in her heart that it would be really nice if things really had gone that way.
