AMARA Ray stopped by the hospital to check on Ashley. After a quick visit, he suggested we take a walk, which I agreed to. I could use some fresh air, and I figured he probably had something on his mind that he wanted to talk about. As we walked side by side along the hospital’s pathway, each of us holding a cup of coffee, Ray casually remarked, “Soya mentioned that this is an attempted murder case.” I couldn’t help but feel a little irritated. “Soya really needs to stop sharing my personal life with you,” I said, keeping my gaze fixed straight ahead. Ray quickly defended her. “She was just looking out for you. Don’t be mad at her,” he said earnestly. I paused for a moment, considering his words. Did I even have a right to be upset? After all, I had planned to tell him about it myself
