Katrina pov The stinging humiliation of the restaurant burned in my throat as I practically tore through the heavy glass exit doors. The cool, crisp afternoon air hit my face, but it did nothing to soothe the fiery panic consuming my chest. My heels clicked frantically against the pavement, a chaotic rhythm that mirrored the racing of my heart. I didn't look back. I couldn't look back to see if Theo was following me, or worse, if Cove was watching me with eyes full of a thousand questions I couldn't answer. I made a straight line for our parked luxury car.
