My feet pounded against the sidewalk as we ran as fast as we could after landing from the kitchen window. Thankfully, there were no humans around otherwise they might think we’re supernaturals. We cannot let hunters mingle in our business.
With each footstep that hit the pavement a new thought echoed through my clouded mind.
What have I gotten myself into?
Of course, I have to find Levi and save my pack from the Queen’s wrath. Now that I have received hope, I’m not going to stop until I have my nephew in my arms.
By now the sun had gone down, and Jace found a hotel. It was now located in the main city. The receptionist gave us a room with one bed. I wanted to protest but there was no time for that. Who knows, maybe those rogues would still be searching for us.
