I was confused to say the least, and wary of him. I didn't know if this was some sort of act to gain my trust, or if it was real. Whatever it was though, I didn't care. As soon as Damon and Derek got me away from Lucas I was out of here. I'd run into the woods once more and this time I wouldn't get caught.
We suddenly stopped running and I was laid down on the ground. I looked up to see Derek and Damon breathing heavily and looking at the forest around them. After a few moments of listening they seemed to decide that no one was following us, and sat down on the ground in unison.
