“Lucas? Who’s that bastard? He’s a day walker. Is he an ally with the Queen?”
Jace shook his head.
“No. The Queen has suspected that he might be the reason behind Prince Vlad’s death and your sister. And also, behind Levi’s disappearance. I have found out that the Old-World vampires have long shut themselves off for about centuries now.”
“Shut themselves? What do you mean?” I was confused.
“Live somewhere out from the Queen’s sight. It means they chose to hide. The Queen's forces were too much to handle and the attack was too much for them. When I investigated, a few new-generation Nightwalker vampire witnesses had spotted Lucas going in and out of the underground covenant. And he was related to the emblem we saw back in our first apartment.”
