CHAPTER 7: ZAPHIRA'S POV

It was an exhausting day at Artonson today, everyone kept on talking about the full moon tonight. I didn't quite understand what was so special about the moon, but I did some research and it seems like tonight is the night that I'll get my answers. I was dressed in black short shorts and a black crop top hoodie, I had my hair in a messy bun. My mum and Tanya were both out , I grabbed my arrows lacing them with petroleum , I took my lighter and walked out of the house.

I didn't quite know what I was looking for , I walked further into the woods. I shook my head as the memories came back as to what happened years ago when I came across this partway. I heard hissing and the wind picked up -tonight's going to be a rough night indeed. I quickly lit my arrows and walked further on this partway.

I heard this figure run past me -I turned in every direction until I see these yellow eyes looking at me. ''Come out whoever you are!'' my voice was steady and there was no fear present in my heart. A gush of wind crept up on me,I picked my bow up and turned quickly, shooting the arrow. I looked for those yellow eyes but they were gone. I then heard a huge hiss making me look all around- I heard something running towards me so I picked my bow up and continued shooting ,arrow by arrow . Whatever it was, never stopped and something jumped in front of me, throwing the creature back. I looked closely and noticed that it was Ely.These 3 figures appeared out of the shadows.

The minute I saw the Stone brothers , I took a step back -it was as if I couldn't breathe. 3 years ago I saw Daniella with this figure that had fangs and claws, it all makes sense now. They were vampires! I always chose not to believe it, but now it all adds up. Elliot hissed at me and Ely hissed back at Elliot. ''What the hell is she doing here?'' I gripped the bow and stepped forward, looking Elliot right in his eyes . ''It must feel so s**t that a human outsmarted a vampire!'' I walked around them , looking at each of them. ''What do you guys have to do with Daniella's disappearance?''Ely spoke'' we have nothing to do with her disappearance. Daniella is a vampire like your father , infact your father is the oldest vampire to ever exist!'' I narrowed my eyes at him'' how do I know if you are speaking the truth?''

Eden steps forward ''your mother as well as Tanya knows but she could't tell you because of us!'' Everything suddenly looked blurry, my heart hammered against my chest. I felt like I was about to faint -my whole life had been a lie , they betrayed me! Daniella left us to protect me. I walked away slowly , I heard them calling me, but I never looked back.

I got home and ran to my room, I entered the bathroom and then I felt droplets of liquid on my skin - I looked and it was blood. I suddenly felt dizzy - I was about to fall until I felt these hands steady me , before passing out I see Ely.
