Elise was at a loss for words, trapped under the intensity of Ryan's gaze. She tried to speak but realized she had no idea how to respond. Arthur had never opened up about his past to her, let alone made or broken any promises. All she knew was that the man standing before her was a total stranger, brimming with anger, and Arthur was clearly unprepared for his arrival. A heavy silence fell over them. "Ryan, that's enough." Arthur's voice was calm, but there was an edge to it. "This isn't the time or place for this." Elise raised her eyes to Ryan, speaking evenly, "I don't know what happened back then, but I know who Arthur is now.
