Haley stood rooted to the spot, her eyes fixed on their retreating figures, the anger in them threatening to spill over. "Damn it!" she spat out, her voice thick with rage. As her emotions spiraled out of control, she lashed out, sweeping her arm across the table and sending a plate crashing to the floor. It shattered into pieces with a sharp crack. "Who do you think you are?"
But Elise didn't turn back. She continued walking away, hand in hand with Arthur, leaving Haley fuming amidst the wreckage, unable to accept her utter defeat.

Once outside the villa, Elise furrowed her brow, disbelief coloring her voice as she muttered to Arthur, "Is she insane?"
Knowing exactly how Haley's plan had backfired, Arthur chuckled softly and shrugged. "Who knows? But that poor kitten..."
