Since there was nowhere for them to stay, I chose to have Jen stay in a hotel near the hospital. As difficult as I am in our situation, I have no right to prevent him from visiting Harley. Harley is currently lying in a hospital bed and is sleeping. His thigh and arm are bandaged due to 2nd degree burns.
I held his hand while watching him sleep. Mama and Tita went home to get clothes and other things.
I wiped the tears from my eyes. I can't help but overthink what could happen to Harley and me now that I know what he’s hiding. What does he want me to do?
Why did he make his family a secret from me? Is it because I'm afraid to know that? Is it because he doesn't want to hurt me?
"Harley... I don't know what to think anymore..." I whispered while sobbing.
